MAKE – Reture Workshop with Joao Maraschin

Friday, September 24 5:30 pm
Maker’s Space

In association with RETURE, watch and learn how to upcycle your own preloved garments through creative customisation with London-based Brazilian designer Joao Maraschin. Community and craftsmanship are at the heart of his brand’s ethos, preserving handmade techniques such as crochet and embroidery, as well as working with new discoveries in raw materials, looking at circularity, waste and repurposing.

His workshop will focus on how to upcycle anything using knitwear, transforming an old item into an exciting new garment.

Is a digital platform offering both a bespoke upcycling service, enabling clients to connect and collaborate with world-class designers to revive their preloved garments, and an online boutique where shoppers can buy upcycled fashion and accessories from cutting-edge, sustainably driven design talents.
