London College of Fashion’s Making for Change works with designers, industry and early stage fashion businesses to develop innovative production practices and empowers community participants with vocational skills and commercial experience for their future fashion careers. Through their creative community programmes, they offer experiences that explore the spaces and places in which fashion, making and people converge.
Fashion District Festival
Making for Change will collaborate with Trashion Factory to host Play Capes, a unique workshop that teaches children how to upcycle old clothes into superhero capes. Rounding off with a kids’ catwalk show finale, this workshop will inspire imaginary play and encourage creativity through themes of waste reduction and upcycling.
