MAKE – Reture Workshop with TOM-O

Sunday, September 26th 1.00 – 2.30pm
The Lab E20

Transform your preloved fabrics into a bag that reflects your personality, with upcycling designer TOM-O. Learn how to patchwork any preloved garment or fabric and create a custom-made bag that can reused time and time again.

You will need to bring 2-8 garments or fabrics of your choice. From clothes that you no longer wear to old curtains, any materials are welcome! Don’t have anything at home? Check out your local charity shop to pick up secondhand clothing or textiles with exciting colours and patterns.

TOM-O designs are a celebration of clashing prints and colours so, don’t hold back with your material choices. This is your chance to be adventurous and create a bag that is unique and personal to you!

Please note: mesh, chiffon and stretch materials are not advised.

TOM-O
Dedicated to saving clothes from landfill, TOM-O works with existing fabrics and garments to explore the potential of unloved and unworn clothing. Extending the life of these garments is the ultimate goal. This is achieved through patchworking fun and vibrant fabrics together to create one-off, sustainable pieces to love forever. Choose from existing designs or create your own with your choice of textiles. TOM-O also offers a bespoke service to patchwork your preloved garment into a brand new product that’s unique to you.
