Saturday 7 June
Workshop 1: 10:20 – 12:00
/ Workshop 2: 12:20 – 14:00
Makers Space

Personalise your wardrobe with upcycled varsity letters and decorative designs.

Join upcycling expert and Sew Flipping Extra podcast host Daniella Dawkins for a creative workshop where participants will learn how to craft custom varsity-style letters and unique fabric shapes from repurposed textiles. Using hand-sewing or appliqué techniques, they’ll assemble and attach their designs to garments or accessories for a standout, personalised look.

The session begins with a short demonstration, followed by a guided activity where attendees cut, layer and stitch their chosen designs. With Daniella’s expert guidance, participants will gain the skills to continue customising their clothing at home — proving that creativity and personal expression can be a powerful alternative to fast fashion.

All materials and tools are provided, but attendees are welcome to bring a garment or accessory to personalise.
