Donation Sorting Party with Give Your Best – MAKE

Saturday 7 June
14:30 – 17:30
The Studio
| 37 Brushfield Street, E1 6AA

Be part of Give Your Best’s Donation Sorting Party and help make a difference in the community.

Join Give Your Best (GYB) for their Donation Sorting Party, where attendees will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of women and children in need. As a “Bestie for a Day,” participants will engage in sorting, quality-checking and organising donated clothing, playing a vital role in diverting clothes from landfills and providing essential support to the GYB community.

The session will guide participants through every step, from preparing sorting stations to quality-checking donations and packing items for shipment. Attendees will see firsthand how thoughtful contributions can positively impact those in need while promoting sustainable practices and ethical fashion. By the end of the session, they will feel connected to the community and gain a deeper understanding of mindful donating and the impact of responsible fashion choices.

Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes, a reusable water bottle and any clothing donations you’d like to contribute.

Give Your Best
Founded in September 2020 by social entrepreneur Sol Escobar, Give Your Best provides an online platform for women and children who are refugees, seeking asylum, destitute or who have no recourse to public funds, to browse and order from an online shop stocked with donated clothes for free.

Since launch, 30,000 items have been donated by over 3000 people, with practically all items having been shopped by over 4000 women and their children. Last year, Give Your Best launched its RePurpose programme. Partnering with brands and retailers to offer a sustainable, circular and socially impactful solution for their unsold stock, Give Your Best offers the service of processing garments and redistributing them via their online free shop.
