Embroidered Treasure Pouches with Lauren Paul – MAKE

Saturday 7 June

Makers Space | The Mezzanine (above the Real Greek), Old Spitalfields Market, 6 Horner Square, London E1 6EW

Create a unique treasure pouch using fabric scraps, embroidery and found objects in this hands-on workshop.

Join award-winning textile designer Lauren Paul for a creative crafting workshop where participants will create their own treasure pouches using fabric scraps, appliqué, beads and traditional embroidery techniques. Guided by basic embroidery and sewing methods, attendees will be encouraged to experiment and develop a unique piece that reflects their personal style.

Embracing slow craft and the repurposing of materials and trinkets, this session encourages mindful making and a deeper appreciation for the stories behind textiles. Participants are invited to bring small found objects – such as shells, fabric remnants or any treasured item of personal significance. This might be a piece of ceramic, a dried flower or any unique trinket they’d like to transform into a keepsake.

By the end of the session, each attendee will take away both a beautifully handcrafted treasure pouch and foundational embroidery skills they can continue to develop.
